Evening Skills Sessions

£140 for four two hour sessions

For this season I have adapted the Skills Sessions from last year into a single block course focussing on developing moderate water skills for those working towards BC Sea Kayak or Coastal Sea Kayak Awards. Each week we will focus on skills only with the coaching tailored to the paddler. We will be seeking out conditions on the Moray Coast where we can best experience dynamic conditions, headlands, tidal areas, wind, surf and rock gardens. This will help build confidence and make paddling a more relaxed experience overall.

Breaking the learning over four weeks allows time to consolidate knowledge and build muscle memory, so that you don't feel overwhelmed as we approach bigger conditions.

What you need to take

This course is for those who have their own paddling equipment and therefore you should take your own. Consider this kit list before deciding what to bring.

Requirements

This is for paddlers looking to build up to intermediate level and those considering the Sea Kayak or Coastal Sea Kayak Award. Requires a minimum of two booked to run the course.

Assessment for the Awards can be arranged separately, just ask when booking.

Location

Generally paddling will take place on the Moray Firth or one of the many lochs in the area.
